Neven Maguire

He began cooking at 12 years of age in the kitchen of the family restaurant. Neven has been Head Chef and Proprietor of MacNean House & Restaurant in Co. Cavan since 2003. Before this, Neven gained experience in many prestigious Michelin Star restaurants throughout Europe, including: Roscoff Restaurant, Belfast, Northern Ireland The Grand Hotel Restaurant, Berlin, Germany Lea Linster Restaurant, Luxembourg Arzac Restaurant, San Sebastian, Spain He has appeared on many television shows and series including; 2001 ‘10 of the Best’ 2002 ‘Neven Cooks’ 2002 ‘Cooking With Love’ Neven was Resident Chef on RTE’s renowned ‘Open House’ TV series from 1998 until the programme finished in 2004 and appeared on the Late Late Show in November 2006 as part of a panel discussion on children and obesity. Neven has four recipe books published to date. His most recent book, ‘Real Food for Families’ is available now from all good book stores. He is also currently working with Dunnes Stores developing their ‘Simply Better’ food range.
