Acclaimed Chef, Noel McMeel at Lough Erne Golf Resort, the first AA & NITB five star Resort in the North, has partnered with Irish celebrity chef, Neven Maguire, to offer guests an exclusive Gourmet Getaway Package

November 2009: North West Ireland - the hot foodie destination – with its artisan cheeses, rare Whiskey connoisseur tastings, and the classic pairing of oysters and Guinness is home to two world famous chefs; Lough Erne’s Noel McMeel renowned for his modern interpretation of classic dishes such as the ‘Lough Erne Mixed Grill’ and celebrity chef Neven Maguire, owner of MacNean House and Restaurant. For the first time, McMeel and Maguire have joined forces to offer guests at Lough Erne the ultimate Gourmet Getaway for just £307.50 per person.

Both chefs, who have been cooking since a young age, are passionate about food and using locally sourced, natural ingredients and as members of Good Food Ireland, both Chef’s are committed to prioritising the core indigenous ingredients of Irish cuisine and promoting local and artisan food producers. Guests can enjoy McMeel’s six-course menu in The Catalina which features delights such as the Home Oak Smoked Irish Duck with Pear Chutney and Roast Hazelnut Vinaigrette, Rump of Finnebrogue Venison and Hot Caramelized Apple & Blackberry Soufflé. Dinner at Maguire’s restaurant on the second night which is just south of the border - a 20 minute drive from Lough Erne will include dishes such as Poached Sea Oyster,with Seared Sea Scallop and Kataifi Prawn & Lobster Ravioli as well as Sauteed Fillet of Irish Beef and Passion Fruit Jelly with Organic Yoghurt.
